Handball Champions

On Thursday, Farndon sent two teams from Year 5 and 6 to a Handball tournament at the Heber High School. After several hours of training early in the morning at 8:00, both teams were well prepared and confident. Under Mr McKie's guidance, both teams performed fantastically well and one of our teams actually went on to win the tournament.

Tournament details: The Red team went through their group stage unbeaten with 2 draws and 2 victories. In the semi final we faced Clutton and the match finsihed 2 -2. A tense Golden Goal followed, with Josh scoring the winner in a tense game. The final was with Malpas who the team had already drawn 2 -2 with in the group stage. The final was fantastic, but Farndon were always in control because of a terrific team effort. It finsihed 3 - 2, making us Handball champions for 2014.
