Class Charter

In Year Five, we have been looking at the rights that children have,

as stated by UNICEF.

We chose 3 that we felt were most valued in our class.

  • Article 2: All children have the right to be treated fairly, regardless of their sex, faith or disability.
  • Article 12: We have the right to give our opinion and for adults to listen and to take it seriously.
  • Article 29: Our education should help us to use and develop out talents and abilities. Our education should help us to live peacefully, protect the environment and respect other people.

As a class, we know that we have responsibilities....These are:

  • To work hard and not distract others, so that we can all try our best to be the best!
  • Use our educational opportunities to learn as much as we can to help us in the future.
  • To treat everyone equally, listening to everyone's opinions. Treat them as you would want to be treated.
  • Don't give up if at first you don't succeed!

And in  turn, the adults who work with us will....

  • Make learning exciting and engaging so that everyone can achieve their best.
  • Listen to every person's ideas and value what is offered.
  • Encourage everyone to work hard and play hard.
  • Ensure that every class member feels that they are part of the Year Five team.
  • Provide a safe and secure learning environment.
