Class Charter
In Year Five, we have been looking at the rights that children have,
as stated by UNICEF.
We chose 3 that we felt were most valued in our class.
- Article 2: All children have the right to be treated fairly, regardless of their sex, faith or disability.
- Article 12: We have the right to give our opinion and for adults to listen and to take it seriously.
- Article 29: Our education should help us to use and develop out talents and abilities. Our education should help us to live peacefully, protect the environment and respect other people.
As a class, we know that we have responsibilities....These are:
- To work hard and not distract others, so that we can all try our best to be the best!
- Use our educational opportunities to learn as much as we can to help us in the future.
- To treat everyone equally, listening to everyone's opinions. Treat them as you would want to be treated.
- Don't give up if at first you don't succeed!
And in turn, the adults who work with us will....
- Make learning exciting and engaging so that everyone can achieve their best.
- Listen to every person's ideas and value what is offered.
- Encourage everyone to work hard and play hard.
- Ensure that every class member feels that they are part of the Year Five team.
- Provide a safe and secure learning environment.
