Top of the league!

On Monday, we had our first home match in the football league. We were up against Acresfield. The team was full of confidence after morale boosting victories in the previous 2 matches.

The game started well, but the Acresfield goalkeeper was in inspired form and seemed unbeatable. However, Farndon kept on pushing forward and managed to go into half time with a 2 - 0 lead.

In the second half, Fardnon raced out of the blocks and were quickly 5 - 0 up. We managed to keep our clean sheet intact when our goalkeeper, Jack, pushed it onto the bar. We were brimming with confidence after that and the game eventually finished Farndon 8 Acresfield 0. Harry E from Year 5 was man of the match and he certainly deserved his goal. Well done to everyone; it was a great match and has now put us top of the league with 3 games to go. It's Christleton up next at home on Thursday 26th February.
