Speech and Drama Festival
Mrs Wakefield and her team took some of our Year 5 and 6 pupils to the Speech and Drama festival, which is held each year at the Kings High School.
All of our pupils performed in their respective categories with incredible confidence and poise, and picked up a number of top-placed trophies and certificates. We were delighted to see so many of our pupils taking part.
The pupils have had weekly lessons, building up to this event and their hard work certainly paid off with a number of them receiving high place finishes.
The Year 5 pupils performed the poems "Marmalade" written by Bob Harding-Jones or they coud choose "The Three Little Pigs" written by Marian Swinger. Amelie did a fantastic job, coming in third place and the judges were so impressed with Lexi that they awarded her first place!
Our Year 6 pupils read the poem"Let No One Steal Your Dreams" by Paul Cookson or "New School." They all did so well and performed their poems with such confidence and Olivia gained a top three finish and came third.
Congratulations everyone and a huge thank you to all the staff who worked hard to prepare the children and gave up their weekend to particiapte in the festival.
