Netball

The Year 5 and 6 Netball team, led by Miss Brown, had their first league match agaisnt St Oswalds. They had been working hard in training with Mrs Palgrave Jones and were hoping for a positive start to the season. 

The original idea was to play several matches so we took a large squad, but sadly, at the last minute, most teams pulled out. The first quarter was very tight and ended 1 - 1, with Lexi scoring with a great finish. Unfortunately, in the second and third quarters, with lots of squad rotations, we got punished by some great finsihing by the opposition. 

However, the team didn't lose their heads, and the coaches were proud of their perofrmance in the final quarter to draw 0 - 0. It finished 8 - 1, but there is a long way to go in the season. Both Mrs Palgrave Jones and Miss Brown were pleased how they played and there were plenty of positives to take for the up and coming matches.
