Netball Team credit to School

OnTuesday, we took 2 netball teams to a netball tournament agaist other local schools. Both teams did fantastically well and were a whisker awa from bringng aother trophy back for our new cabinet.

Farndon B
For most of this team it was the first time playing a match against another school. Their first game was Tushingham and we lost 5-2. They didn't let this get them down and came out fighting for the second game against Tilston winning 3-2. For their final game in the group they played Shocklach, winning 4-1. Making it to the semi final, they played Tattenhall but unfortunately lost 5-0. Farndon B finished the tournament in 3rd place which was a fantastic achievement.

Farndon A
For their first game they played Tattenhall - it was a very close game and ended with Tattenhall winning 2-1. To stay in the tournament we then had to play Malpas and win; the team didn't let the pressure get to them and we won 2-0. In the semi final, they played Tushingham winning 5-0. They then had to face Tattenhall for the second time in the final. The game was extremely close an tense troughout and Tattenhall came out wnners with a  2-1 victory.

Well done to all the children. They we an absolute credit to th school. A big thank you to our Teaching Assistant Miss Brown and Mrs Palgrave-Jones for working so hard in h club afer school and preparing the so well.
