Miickle Trafford match

The fourth league match of the season against Mickle Trafford was a real battle.

Conditions were tough with a very boggy pitch so it was never going to be pretty. We started brightly with high intensity showing some good build up work. We just couldn't finish off our moves with a goal. If the goal was an inch to the left we would have been 3 goals up. Mickle Trafford then came back into it with their talented number 4 breaking down the left. 

The break through came with the last kick of the half. Mickle Trafford managed to scramble it over the line so we had to come from behind once again. 

We started brightly in the second half and Tom had a big impact. He burst down the left chasing a lost cause but kept it in. He pulled it back for Dan who slammed it in the top corner. Our confidence now was high. Daniel moved up front and it was a master stroke. He glided past 2 players and slotted it home in the corner. 

We then defended for our lives. Jonnie was strong at the back and played it out of defence with confidence. With just minutes remaining, Mickle Trafford hit a speculative shot. Freddie got a hand on it, but it managed to bobble across the line. A 2 - 2 draw. 

Jonnie played well when he came on and Tom certainly had a big impact with the confidence to run at players. Player of the match has to go to Dan once again. His two goals were vital and he put in a commanding performance in midfield.
