Football Tournament

On Thursday afternoon, the Year 5 and 6 boys went to a football tournament and competed against all the teams from the local area.

We took two teams and both performed so well and did the school proud! Farndon Rangers competed fiercely in Group 1, but sadly only managed to draw one game and lost 3 and so did not make the semi final.

Farndon Warriors faired much better. They topped their group having won 3 and drew 1 and only conceded 1 goal. They met a strong Tattenhall side in the semi final and marched to the final with a 3 - 0 victory. In a close, tense final against Malpas, we made it to half time with a 2 goal lead. The final score was 2 - 0 and Farndon were crowned champions!!

Well done to the whole squad - a real team effort and we can add this to our Handball trophy.
