Football League Match

This was our last match before the Christmas break and we wanted to leave 2016 on a high.

However, in the league match, Guilden Sutton had other ideas and took an early lead. After half time, we came out fighting and dominated the second half. Todd made the keeper work hard with several efforts. We then missed a penalty and Tom had a fantastic header saved off the line. As we were pushing forward for the equaliser, we were vulnerable to the counter attack and Freddie made some great saves to keep us in it.  It was looking like it wasn't our day, but Cameron stabbed the ball home after good work from Todd. That is 2 wins and a draw in the league. Man of the match is a difficult one as there were so many good performances. Travis were certainly the player of the first half and Tom the player of the second.

Our second match was an all action affair! Initially, it was tight but goals from James gave us a 2 -1 lead. After an amazing strike from Leonard, it gave the team the confidence to flood forward. Isaac scored a lovely finish into the top corner and Matthew chipped in with a goal; the game finished 7 - 2. That's 2 wins in a row! Man of the match was Tom in Year 5. An absolute dynamo in midfield! Never stopped running.
