Athletic Champions

It was the turn of our Year 3 and Year 4 children to take part in an athletics tournament at the High School. Mr Bond prepared a team of 18 pupils from both classes and we had high hopes to improve on our 3rd place finish with the upper juniors.

All the boys and girls participated in both track and field events to gain points for an overall team score. There were some seriously close races which needed a photo finish! However, the determination of the children and the dip to the line made sure Farndon finished in front - it was great to watch!

Every child that took part was an absolute credit to the school. Amazingly, we won nearly every single event, coming out as the overall winners. We actually won by 20 points!! An incredible achievement - well done to all the Year 3 and 4 team.

A big thank you to Mr Bond for organising the team and preparing them so well. I am seriously having to think about enlarging my trophy cabinet - it is getting rather full!
