Headteacher's blog Week Beginning 15th December
Date: 19th Dec 2014 @ 11:32am
I thought this day would never come!
It has been a long and very busy Autumn Term but also a hugely enjoyable one.
In the last week the Nursery children were very lucky. Father Christmas took time out of his busy schedule to come and have breakfast with the children at the local garden centre. The children had a magical time and told Father Christmas everything they hoped they might get for Christmas. Apparently, one child asked if Mr Walker was on the good list and I felt reassured to hear that I am. Mrs Roberts has put a fantastic presentation of the day on the Nursery website under the gallery tab for Parents to share in their special day.
This week the children from Yr1 to Yr 6 got the opportunity to visit the theatre and watch a pantomime. Christmas is not Christmas without a pantomime. Obviously, the children had a wonderful time and I think it is important that children have th eopportunity to experience an afternoon in the theatre. One of our children even got to go up onto the stage! A big thank you to the staff for taking the trouble to organise the events.
In celebration assembly on the last day we said a fond farewell to Mrs Kent as it was her last day. We hope it won't be the last we see of her and that she will come in to cover classes in the future. I am sure everyone will join me in thanking her for all her hard work and wish her all the luck in the future.
And finally, to the finish the term the Juniors sang in St Chads church. It is always the perfect way to end the term and start the final run up to Christmas.
I hope everyone has a very happy Christmas and I look forward to seeing you all in the New Year.
