Sports City trip Infants

Lesson: Physical education

Class: Year 1 Foxes Year: 2015 - 2016

On Wednesday, the Infants a great time at the Manchester Sportcity complex. The children (and the adults) thoroughly enjoyed taking part in a range of athletics in order to win a treasured place on that podium.

The children got to experience long jump, shot put, relay and sprints. The children took part in their House teams and they all competed in an obstacle relay. Obviously, the teachers had to demonstrate this first!!!

The day ended with the awards ceremony, with children invited to stand on the podium. We must thank the centre staff and their coaches who helped make it such an enjoyable day and also a big thank you to all the parents who gave up their time to support us on the trip.

We hope that the day has inspired our children to be future Olympic stars.
