Pirate Day

Class: Year 1 Foxes Year: 2018 - 2019

The children in Year 1 and 2 had a wonderul day acting as pirates.  At the start of the day, all of the children had to read and sign the pirate code that they had created the previous day. 

 The children then rotated around the following activities to see if they were able to become an honorary pirate. 

1. Porthole art

2. Gird references to locate the treasure on a map

3. Completed  pirate duties and commented on feelings after doing each of them: these included scrubbing the decks, climbing the rigging, Captain line-up and passing cannon balls.

4. Making grog and tasting tack biscuits! 

 We are pleased to announce that all the trainee pirates passed,

 The teachers wish to thank all the parents for their efforts with the costumes and preparing the children for the day.
