Safety Officers and Safe Parking

On Wednesday, our Safety Officers, Alex (Yr6) and Isobelle (Yr 6) were busy once again. With a team to help them, they went out to parents at the front of the gate and asked them to sign the parking charter that they have drawn up along with the Cheshire West Road Safety team. 

They have been taking the issue of parking at the front of the school very seriously. They campaigned for the yellow zig-zag lines to be re-done at the front of school  and the Safety Officers even made their own video on how to stay safe and cross the road safely. They also have designed a banner that will go on the front of the school the highlight the issue of parking. 

Then, the Safety Officers did their last assembly to the school about the Parking Charter with Gill Shaw, from the Road Safety Team, and PC Sally Maloney. It was in this assembly that they announced that they had won the trophy for the best Safety Officers in Cheshire West. Not only were they thrilled to win the huge trophy, but they also each received a voucher for £100!!!

Mrs Barnes, who supports the children in their work, was incredibly proud of the children and all of their hard work.
