Handball Tournament

The Year 5 and 6 children went to defend their crown at the Heber on Thursday. It was the Handball tournament against the other Broxton Federated Schools. 

The group stage started with a tight game against Tattenhall which ended 1 a piece. Then victories against Tilston, Tattenhall 2 and Clutton followed which meant we won our group and marched on to the semi-finals. 

We met Malpas in the semis and in a game that could have gone either way, it went to the dreaded golden goal in extra time. Tom scored and another final beckoned. 

It was Bickerton in the final. We were intially on top. Cameron hit the woodwork and we had 3 goals disallowed! 0 - 0 and golden goal would decide the final again. The team battled to the end, but Bickerton were then awarded a penalty. Todd flung himself at it but could not prevent it going. Runners up this time.
