Deeside Ramblers Hockey

Fresh from their win in the Broxton tournament, the Year 5 and 6 hockey team had high hopes for this tournament. 

It was a round robin tournament with 10 teams. We enjoyed several wins. There were 3 - 0 wins over Waverton (B) and Bunbury. And we won 2- 0 against Mickle Trafford and Tarporley. 

We beat Tarporley (B) team 4 - 0 and there was a convincing win over Tattenhall which ended 5 - 0. 

Tarvin proved very difficult and we battled to a 1 - 1 draw. Sadly, Waverton and Kelsall both nicked early goals and we couldn't find that vital equalizer and both matches finished with a 1 - 0 defeat. 

Mimi and Megan, in Mr Bond's words, went for it in a big way! George, who starred in the Broxton tournament, was brilliant and scored 4 goals but Jachym topped scored with an impressive 8 goals. James chipped in with 4 goals and Harry got 3. 

With 6 wins, it was again another impressive performance by the team. However, with two defeats it meant we finished third on the leaderboard. Well done to the Mr Bond and all the children. They can be very proud of their efforts.
