Bali Cake Sale
As part of our social, moral and cultural education within school, we are always looking to exploit links with other schools, whether that be nationally or even further afield.
One of our Year 5 pupils, William, is off to Bali in a few weeks and before his embarking on his trip he has made a link with a school over there and intends to visit when he is holidaying there. The Year 5 pupils have got together to come up with some fund raising ideas and William, with the help of a few friends, has been collecting pencils and stationary to take over with him.
With the help of mum and dad, he also organised a cake sale at the end of the school day. I'm sure you will all agree that the cakes looked fantastic and it is no surprise that they were in huge demand. I personally think they would not have looked out of place on The Great British Bake Off! Proceeds from the cake sale will go towards equipment we plan to take over to the school. Having visited the school, we are hoping to keep the link so that the children might be in regualr contact.
A big thank you must go to William and his family for all their efforts in putting this together. I am sure that the pupils in Bali will be most gratful. In the future, Mr Walker hopes to cement the positive link between the 2 schools with an all expensives pid trip to meet the children and staff!!!!
